The Miss Klamath County-Miss City of Sunshine Organization is a local preliminary competition to Miss Oregon under the Miss America Opportunity, and offers scholarships to every young woman that compete in our program.
Since 2022 alone, we’ve given away over $100,000 in scholarships and in-kind donations to local delegates. Additionally, every competing delegate in our local program walks away with a guaranteed scholarship, whether she places or not!
Our program consists of a purely volunteer group of Board of Directors. These are not paid roles. Because of these passionate and committed individuals, and through the generous support of our community and sponsors, the Miss Klamath County-Miss City of Sunshine Organization has remained a beacon of opportunity to young women in the region for decades.

Miss Klamath County-Miss City of Sunshine Scholarship Organization has been fortunate to award in excess of one million dollars in scholarships and awards to local participants.
Founded in 1966, over the course of our existence, local delegates have promoted and advocated for such platforms as Literacy, Character Education, Cancer Awareness, Drug and Alcohol Abuse Education, Early Childhood Education and a host of other issues highly relevant to our community, our state and our nation. Delegates have given thousands of hours in volunteer service to a myriad of organizations in our community.
The dedicated young women who compete for the coveted Miss America title donate more than 500,000 hours each year to make Miss America one of the largest community service organizations in the country.
